I am flying into Paris for vacation on June 15. Do I need to be concerned about civil unrest?
We were in Paris the last week in April. We saw a lot of police and riot vehicles on stand-by. The officials appear to know where the protests are planned. They seem to have it under control. I would not worry about it. You might want to do a search on this forum. I think there are other posts on this topic.

Just came from Paris and didn’t see anything out of the ordinary after arriving late on Saturday. Mostly the protests are in Saturday and are contained to specific areas. Your hotel will probably be able to give you a map to possible metro or other closures. Did talk to a couple who had to reroute plans because of station closures but that was all.
Locally they are saying that attention is waning and attendance is falling and they are looking towards them ending in the nearish future.
All the road construction on the Right Bank will probably affect your trip more - there is a lot going on right now. There are already major security lines in all places so there really is no increase in security due to the unrest. As a tourist they know you’re not a French protester in disguise.
Have a great trip,

We were in Paris 2 weeks ago & earlier this week (sigh!), and used this website to see where the planned « manifs » would be; we also just used common sense, like when we saw a large police presence near Opera Bastille.
No need to be concerned. A French friend whose brother lives in Paris told me he says definitely avoid protests, but that’s easy to do. One of my husband’s colleagues was too blasé and got a whiff of tear gas, but that’s all.
They have moved some of the “Paris Walks” from Saturday to Sunday to avoid disruption, but are hoping things are winding down, as Tod says. Enjoy!
