The protests across France today numbered over 800. Road blocks over 200. We had to be in Paris from Normandie today. Our neighbors in Calvados suggested staying away from main roads. The result was a wonderful meandering journey on relatively deserted back roads and about 50 extra miles to get to CDG.
Watching BFM news tonight we saw a number of Protests across Paris today. Hope no one is caught up in it but for us an interesting day.

Used the same method to go from the Cotentin peninsula to Rennes-Bretagne airport this morning to pick up a friend arriving from the U.S. The main goal was to avoid the rocade around Rennes, which is a common target for blockage and was specifically mentioned as a goal on social media.
Added about 20 minutes to the trip to arrive at the airport from the south, but no problems. Saw only one protest gathering southeast of Rennes at a roundabout but there was no blockage, no fires, just people holding signs.
