Uber Paris

Does anyone have any recent experience with Uber in Paris? Specifically from CDG? There are 4 of us so I think we would need what they refer to as UberVan?

thanks!

It's hard to take Uber from CDG. The regular taxis now are fixed rate- 50 euro to the right bank, 55 to the left bank. That's about the same as Uber. Just go to the taxi stand and make sure you get a "real" taxi. Uber while in Paris worked out great for us in March-very convenient, quick to arrive, no problems. We did take Uber back to the airport to go home. We got stuck with a surge charge-85 euros. Next time, I'll use a cab!

Uber is not allowed to pick up at the airports or train stations or on the street. You'd have to arrange a pick-up spot, which might be some distance away.
The fixed rate is good for 4 passengers and their luggage - the total will be 50 or 55 EU, depending on which side of the river you're going to.

Just follow the overhead signs to the official TAXI queue and wait for a minivan. There is an agent who matches you with the size of vehicle you need. It won't take long, there are lots of minivans, now.
To get back to the airport, you can call G7 TAXIS the night before you leave. This company has English-speaking operators and is very dependable.
