Uber from CDG & Uber in Paris Christmas Week

Hello all!
Curious if anyone currently in Paris (or any of the locals who so kindly share their knowledge!) have an update on Uber during the strike.
Is it fairly easy to request a ride and a fair number of cars available?
Anyone run into any issues?
Finally - where is the pick up location at CDG for Uber?

Thank you!

I am not on the ground in Paris right now but am in almost daily communication via email with a friend who lives in Le Marais. I also, by way of background, want to add that I have taken just about every way to get to Paris from CDG except the city bus that goes to to Gare de l'Est and, at the best of times, Uber was not the best choice for getting from CDG to Paris for the very reason that the pickup location is not as simple as naming a spot. You have to check the app after you request the ride. And, these are not the best of times so per my friend in Paris, Uber is "impossible" right now. Surge pricing is real but since it depends on demand, it may or may not be factor. Even so, IMO, taxis are the way to go from the airport. You may have to wait a bit longer than usual for a taxi and traffic is bad but, it is a flat rate for the ride and not subject to surge pricing or any supplement/extra charge because of the strike so your price is your price.

When our scheduled G7 cab cancelled on us last minute a few days ago, we got an Uber from the Latin Quarter to CDG. The Uber showed up in 5 min and was about the same price as the cab would have been (no crazy surge pricing). Looking at the app there appeared to be reasonable availability.

Unfortunately, I don’t know about Uber from CDG.

Good luck

I have known of friends unable to get Ubers this week, and any rides in vehicles taking significantly longer since there is so much vehicular traffic (since public transportation is not able to provide the robust support that it normally does, locals are turning to cars to get to places they would normally go via public transport).

Thank you all for the helpful information!

Is the taxi stand easy to navigate to when exiting CDG?

Finding taxis as you exit CDG is very easy. Signs are clear and there are even foot prints on the ground saying taxi that you follow to get into the queue.

Agree with Dean that the taxi stands are easy to find and are marked on overhead signage as well. Ignore anyone who comes up to you asking if you want a taxi. Ignore anyone who comes up to you while in the taxi line who tries to tell you that is not the line for Paris. The manager at the head of the line will motion you to a taxi.
