How prevalent are Uber and Lyft in larger cities in France, specifically, Bordeaux (city)? Is one more common than the other? I will be there at the beginning of September, 2021

There is no Lyft in France.
Uber is available but I use either Bolt or Free Now. I understand that Bolt and FreeNow pay drivers better than does Uber and as drivers potentially work for more than one company, they prefer to pickup Bolt and FreeNow over answering Uber requests.

Thanks, Tocard, just acquired Bolt app. Also, there is a deal for 30% off my first 5 rides.

Jules, where did you see that offer about the first 5 rides? I signed up for Bolt, too, but didn't see any offers.

I think I signed up and then when I went to put in credit card information was when the 30% off came up? To be honest, I'm not sure. Oh, and I had put in a "dummy" ride to see what the approximate cost was to go from Bordeaux city center to a winery.
