Type of shoes

Could you use a pair you already own? Nothing like a broken in shoe you know, and love. There are SO many good brands! Google “walking shoes” and see if some are sold locally so you can try them on. I always bring two pairs, also.

Since everyone's feet are different it is doubtful that one brand works for all. For me, Clarks work well. My feet prefer leather over canvas shoes. Check the brand of your most comfortable shoe, look into purchasing additional shoes in that brand and by all means, break them in long in advance of any trip.
