Two Days in Paris

We will be in Paris for 2 days prior to an 8 day river cruise. The 8 days will be packed with many things to do. The 2 days in Paris are meant to help us adjust to jet lag, and also allow for some time in case we run into any airline delays/changes. We've been to Paris a few times, including Versailles. This time we are just looking to relax, have some great food, enjoy pretty views, maybe do a little shopping. Not looking to run here and there to check things off a list, ha! Maybe a food tour? When travelling we always enjoy spending time with a local guide. I'd love to hear your suggestions. This will be in July. I'm not familiar with neighborhoods or areas, but we'll be staying at Raphael Hotel Paris. 2 adults.

There will be lots of fun options for Paris during the month of July!

Paris l'été (July 11th-31st) is a festival with free or cheap performances all over the city - often in unusual locations.

You could listen to a classical concert inside Sainte Chapelle - I believe there are several dates in July and some performances include a glass of champagne.

There are Jazz and classical concerts in the Paris botanical gardens almost every weekend.

And if you are a shopper, July is the month for sales!

We did a great Paris tour with Secret Food Tours. The concert at Sainte Chapelle in afternoon when sun is streaming through the stained glass was also one of my favorite Paris experiences.

Ah, the Raphael! My husband worked there for a couple of years. Be sure to make time to go have some Champagne on the rooftop terrace. Pricey but so memorable !

At the Raphaël, you are in for a treat :-)
A few years ago, my parents won a weekend there as a prize. The irony being that they live 6 metro stops away. They still went, and really had a great time, the ultimate staycation!

We just stayed at the Raphael in the duplex suite -- amazing experience and the staff were so wonderful.
