TVG from Bordeaux to CDG

We are traveling from Bordeaux to CDG on the last day of our trip. We have reservation at the Hilton on Rue de Rome. Do I book the train from Bordeaux to CDG or to a particular station? We will have a toddler (and all his stuff) with us. Will I be in the middle of the airport Crowd? Do we take a taxi to our hotel?

It looks as though there are direct trains to deGaulle every few hours. The earliest one (which is very early) arrives at 9:45 AM. At least on weekdays.

Trains schedules are subject to change.

There is only one TGV station at CDG, in Terminal 2. You can use the hotel shuttle bus.

From T2 :Take the free hotel shuttle bus. Courtesy Airport Shuttle buses are available, free of charge, 7 days a week and run every 15 to 20 minutes between 6.00 am and 11.30 pm (on request from 11.30 pm to 6 am) directly to the Hilton Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport hotel. They are available at Terminal 2: Follow the signs Hôtels or Gare SNCF, then Navettes Hôtels up to the level 5 (by using elevators or stairs).

Sam is correct. I took the train From Bordeaux to CDG Terminal 2 and then one of those free .airport shuttle buses. Also I took Ouigo the SNCF budget version of the TGV, if you are interested in saving money;

only difference is that there is no WiFi and no dining car; but who wants to eat the crappy kind of food they serve on a train anyway when you can bring your own.

I don't think they're calling them TGV anymore. I think the new name, starting this year, is Ouigo. That may not be for every train but if you see the name Ouigo, don't be surprised.

When I explored the routes in detail, it seemed that we went from Bordeaux to Gare Montparnasse. Then transferred to the metro to st. Michel (st. Michel Notre Dame?) then, I don’t know, train or metro to cdg. Is this the best, fastest, and less confusing route? We will have a toddler with us.

There are plenty of trains that go to Montparnasse, but I think you should take the ones that go to DeGaulle. These are not as frequent, but still seem to run regularly (barring rail strikes of course).

This route takes about 15 minutes longer than switching to the RER in Paris (because it makes more stops along the way), but I think it's worth it for a direct train with no transfers.

Not all of the Bordeaux trains go thru Montparnasse without making a change. If you've looked at the train maps, the TGV to CDG goes WAY AROUND the city to the east, then north. The alternatives through the center of Paris on the RER look complicated to me, especially with changes involving luggage.
Check out this alternative bus/coach from Montparnasse to CDG. https://www.lebusdirect.com/en/maps-access-bus-stops/gare-montparnasse-airports-cdg-orly.html

Haven't used it before, but plan to in the Fall.

As the OP originally stated, she was looking at a train direct from Bordeaux to CDG. There are 5 a day. Since she is packing heavy with a toddler, I see no reason to alter that plan and go through Montparnasse.
