Delta/Air France has changed my itinerary again and now allows just one hour for a transfer at CDG between my arriving flight from Tunis to my connecting flight on to Detroit. And insists that will work. I don't think so based on prior transfer experience. But they're adamant. Thoughts?
The usual strategy is to call again until you find someone more helpful.
If you are still stuck with this: it becomes Delta/AF's duty to get you to Atlanta if you miss a connection, so it is "their" problem if you cannot make it at CDG.
The odds are that you will make it, though, because you will just need to pass through transfer security. No immigration, no luggage claim.
I got Delta to change my transfer from CDG to Schiphol from Berlin in similar circumstances. they changed the flight to make the connection less possible originally as they have with you -- and thus you may find someone who will change flights or change airports. We ended up with and hour and a half at Schiphol which was fine. 60 at CDG might be possible, but all it takes is the first flight coming in 10 minutes late and you are unikely to make it.
Call till you get a reasonable person at Delta. Stress that THEIR change of the original flight has no made it less likely you can make the connection. And look at the on time record of the first plane. Our Berlin/CDG flight was late often seriously about half the time. I used that information to get them to agree to change the flight.
And look for video instruction on line on making the connection especially if you get stuck with the CDG connection. You can map out and walk through all the steps so you know exactly what to do on arrival.
