We got the alert from the embassy about a transit and other labor strike on July 5. We will travel that day via Eurostar to London which we've been told is typically not impacted. My question is - I assume we won't have the metro to get to the train station, but will taxis still be working? Do they generally during these strikes? Thanks to anyone who has experience with this.
Normally, there will not be a total shutdown of the transit system, but schedules will be greatly reduced. The information hasn't been updated this morning, but you can check the official transit website tomorrow to be certain whether or not the Metro ligne you need will be impacted http://www.ratp.fr/
If you want to take a taxi to Gare du Nord, you should reserve today with G7 Taxis - either online or by telephone (English speaking operators) https://www.g7.fr/en/
Depending on the time of day you plan to leave and your address, it could cost significantly more than usual, if the taxi has to try to avoid the protest marchers.
You should check these Eurostar websites in the morning to make sure that your train will run on time.

I need to take the RER B train from Saint-Michele to CDG tomorrow morning for an 11:00 am flight on United to SFO. Looks like they run every 15 -20 minutes, but I'm not seeing where to see if any or all B trains are cancelled on the web link provided, or it's in French and can't figure out where to find info. I hate to spend the money for an expensive taxi since I already have my navago pass.
Here's the info (I plugged in tomorrow's date), but you should check it again tomorrow morning before you leave, just to be certain. If your flight leaves at 11 AM, you should plan on leaving no later than 7:30 AM.

I just checked the ratp.fr website - there are no mentions of interruptions in Metro service.
I saw buses running this morning, though it's probable that some bus lines running along the protest march route will be re-routed or stop completely during that time.
