Triple Rooms in Paris

I am looking to book a hotel room at the beginning of November, for 3 women...so need 3 beds in a comfortable but reasonable hotel in a safe, preferably lively location of Paris. I keep finding junior suites with a double bed and a single. That won't work.

First, if you see a hotel that you like that has a double bed and a single, consider contacting the hotel and asking if they can do 3 single beds in the room. Sometimes, they can do that. I know that the Hotel Saint-Jacques (Rue des Ecoles) can do that. Hotel Moderne Saint Germain next to the Hotel Saint-Jacques on Rue des Ecoles has at least one room with three single beds as does Hotel Original in the 11th. FYI, Hotel Original's rooms tend to be on the small side and the decor is what my husband calls an acquired taste. By the way, what is the budget per night? I might have other suggestions depending on what reasonable is. And what is hynuor a typo of? I keep trying to guess. Also, you posted the same question twice. You may want to delete the other one so you have all your answers in one place.

Try Hotel Quai Voltaire - they have triples with single beds.
Right across the river from the Louvre.

I've found the booking sights aren't good at finding unusual rooms, really anything other than two people per room. The best bet is to call any hotel that looks promising directly and see what they have. If it works and the price is right, book it. Emailing isn't nearly as efficient because many hotels respond slowly to email requests.

Most often the 1 big bed you'll find in European hotels is actually 2 smaller (single) beds pushed together and joined. They're designed to be easily convertible to either configuration.

The Henri IV Rive Gauche which is a lovely little boutique hotel has at least one triple with three beds. Small rooms but nice. It is near the river across from Notre Dame and around the corner from Shakespeare and Co and near metro/RER.

As Tim says, the double bed is often 2 singles made up as one. My dad and I travel together so I m always looking at the photo of the bed to see what the bed actually is. You can ask the hotel to separate the beds and then make the beds up as singles.

Try the Hotel Yllen Eiffel (15th arrondissement). That's where I take my students when we go to Paris and we love it. The breakfast...usually included...is nothing short of fantastic. It's almost on top of a metro station (Volontaires - line 12 {and a great metro station because there's only one entrance and you'll easily find the hotel every time}) and close to la Gare Montparnasse.

The breakfast is so good that my students remember it the most.

I just remembered another hotel that has the option of getting 3 single beds: Hotel Albe Saint-Michel. I forgot about it before because I don't love the area but it is as central and lively as central and lively get IMO.

" Emailing isn't nearly as efficient because many hotels respond slowly to email requests."

While that can certainly be an issue, that hasn't been my experience with Paris hotels. I usually get a response within 24 hours.

I do agree that for your needs, it's best to contact hotels directly, to make sure you get the kind of room you want.

I like the Grand Hotel des Balcons. Great location, on a quiet side street near the Odeon in the 6th. They have triple rooms, but their website doesn't specify the bedding options, so you would need to ask them (they're one of the places that's prompt in replying to my emails). However, they also have a "Reduced Mobility" room that specifically says it has 3 single beds. Scroll down on this page to see if it's right for your: http://www.balcons.com/en/rooms.html
