My wife and I will be in Bordeaux in late October. Plan on leaving on Tuesday am for Amboise. One night there and on to Orleans and Versailles. We have to be at the airport CDG at 9:30 am Thursday. Should we take train from Bordeaux or rent a car and wander a bit. We love red wine.

If things are as they are now and you need a Covid test one day befor re-entry to the US, you'll want to figure that into your plans for Wednesday. I prefer to get my testing done in the AM so if there are hiccups I'll have time to re-arrange my flights and figure out a lodging plan.
