Traveling to Auvers

Hello,
We would like to take a day trip from Paris to Auvers on Sunday, July 30. I am concerned about the ease of traveling there by train. Does anyone have advice on this and how to schedule the return to Paris for later the same day? I appreciate any help!

Actually I literally read something a couple of days ago about a special Sunday service they have created just for going to Auvers. Let me see if I can find the information on that.

Kim,
Thank you so much! I will definitely check it out. We want to go on Sunday as there is a special Van Gogh exhibit there only open on Saturday and Sunday.
Thanks again,
Bryan

The direct trains operate on Saturday, Sunday and holidays and depart from Gare du Nord at 9:38AM and arrive in Auvers-sur-Oise at 10:22AM. They depart Auvers-sur-Oise at 6:15PM and arrive at Gare du Nord at 6:50PM (this is from the link Kim provided and from the transilien website route planner). However, if these times don't work for you then there are many trains between these two places every day that will require one transfer along the way (at one of three different stations) and you can find all the transport info on transilien.com. Look for the options that require two "H" trains and not an "H" train to a bus. If it helps you can see a map of the train network around Paris and look for the brown line marked "H" in the top left to visualize the possible transfer stations:

https://www.ratp.fr/sites/default/files/plans-lignes/Plans-essentiels/Plan-RER-et-transiliens.1673014648.pdf

And the plan for line H:

https://www.ratp.fr/sites/default/files/lines-assets/plan-de-ligne/sncf/plan-de-ligne_sncf_ligne-h.1577198334.pdf

The tourist office website has all the info to plan your visit and be sure to visit the tourist office once you arrive to get your free map outlining the tourist trail through town as well as all kinds of other free booklets, pamphlets, etc. and the staff will be happy to answer any questions you may have (they'll speak English). Unfortunately the official tourist office website for Auvers appears to be down at the moment (https://tourisme-auverssuroise.fr) but keep trying and it should be back on line at some point. Some of the other local tourist office websites may be helpful:

https://www.ot-cergypontoise.fr/fr/fiche/872475/office-de-tourisme-dauvers-sur-oise-sausseron-impressionnistes/

The link that Kim provided also has some good info for planning your visit but as noted, it's in French so you may need google translate. But definitely be sure to visit the tourist office first thing when you arrive and all the info to plan your visit will be found there.

Thank you Mystique!
Your information is very helpful. I am trying to find out if there is a Van Gogh exhibition on his last 70 days in Auvers. I believe it may be at the Absinthe Museum on Saturdays and Sundays. Have you heard about this?
