Traveling between CDG, Paris, Disneyland, and the Loire Valley!

Hello all!
My husband and I are planning a trip to Paris, planning to go airport->Amboise->Paris (haven’t picked a hotel yet but leaning towards one where the closest metro station is Pont Marie)->Disneyland Paris->airport over the course of about two weeks in France.

We live in a medium-large, VERY touristy city in the US, so we have some experience with travel safety, but have no experience traveling in Europe.

My question is, how should we go about traveling from one leg of the trip to the next (eg, Amboise to Paris) if we are carrying luggage? We will both have standard carry-on size rolling bags, plus I’ll have a small handbag (cross body, keeping my passport and credit card in a money belt, and all that jazz). I’m feeling overwhelmed looking at all the different routes and lines, reading about risks for getting pickpocketed while distracted by your luggage, just in general trying to figure out how to get from point A to point B on the travel days.

I’m happy to pay for a taxi/Uber in Paris to prevent having to transfer at a busy station, it seems like it would be easier to hop off at say, Les Halles, than to transfer there with luggage. And safer than walking on the street between the final stop and your hotel. What would you recommend?

Thanks in advance!

Do I understand your itinerary correctly? CDG directly to Amboise, to Paris, to Disney, leave France from CDG, arriving there from DLP.

CDG to Amboise is by train, and there are a number of options depending upon your renting a car or not. Ideally, depending upon your CDG arrival time/day, you take the TGV to St Pierre des Corps, rent a car for the relatively short drive to Amboise. If you are not renting a car, I would not recommend Amboise, I would stay in Tours, specifically in Old Tour. Tours is the transportation hub of the region, with many transportation/hotel/restaurant options.

You return to Paris the same way; return your car and take the train to Paris. The most likely arrival station is Gare Montparnasse. In Paris use the métro, bus network, or taxis/VTC: Bolt or FreeNow, or Uber (in my order of preference).

From Paris to Disney I would take the RER A (train) which will not only be the fastest, it will be the cheapest. Leaving Disney for CDG there are a number of options: bus, TGV, private driver, train (RER A to RER B).

Useful answers to transportation questions require details: travel dates, times, and number of people traveling. Nothing in this itinerary suggests your needing a great deal of luggage; one, 22¨ bag and a purse/handbag, that you can easily handle yourself.
