Travel to the French Alps from the Loire Valley

What city do you plan to be in while in the Loire Valley?

Where are you planning to travel to in the French Alps? Chamonix?

We had planned to take this route ,in reverse, (Chamonix > Amboise) last June, but noted that most trains connect in Paris, so we decided to visit Paris before traveling to Amboise in the Loire Valley.

You may check train schedules on the SNCF website.

Probably train. But until the where,what, and when, it is like asking the best way to travel between Colorado and California.
