Hi, My husband and I are taking a Viking Cruise from London. We would like to visit St. Michel first. What is the best or easiest way to travel. The trip is at the end of August.

What city are you originally coming from before you make your way to St. Michel ?
You can stay in the towns of Saint Malo or Caen when you head to St. Michel first. Both are near MSM. The nearest airport is in Caen. From Caen take the train to Pontorson. Right outside the station is an SNCF shuttle bus which will take you to MSM. I believe it's included in the train ticket.
Once you complete your MSM adventure, then fly to London from Caen to catch your Viking River Cruise.
The average Caen to London flight time is an hour.

Is it Mont-St.-Michel in France that you wish to visit, or is it St. Michael's Mount in England--or somewhere else in Europe with "St. Michel" in its name?

Hi, thank you for your email. I was talking about Mont St Michel in France. Since tossing out the query, my husband who has a very bad ankle, and I have a bad knee decided the trip to Mont St Michel would be too taxing on us - not so much get to the area, but the climbing and walking around the Abbey. Thank again.
