Looking for best way to travel to Bayonne, France for start of Basque Country tour.

When I took this tour, I flew to Paris and spent a couple of days there. I then took the train to Bayonne.

We flew into Biarritz from Paris, and then took a private pre-booked van to Bayonne. You can also take a taxi from Biarritz airport.
We did 2 nights pre-tour at St. Jean du luz and loved it.

When we stayed in Biarritz last month, we flew in and out of Bilbao (it was hundreds of dollars cheaper than any other nearby option). We had a rental car, but I believe train/bus service also exists.
