Travel TGV CDG to St Pierre de corps timing from Montparnasse station

I am scheduled to land in Paris Monday July 30 at 10:30 am then traveling on to Tours. At this point the closest direct tgv train from CDG is at 4:16pm.

There are earlier trains available at the Montparnasse station.

Should I just wait at CDG for the 4:16 or go to Montparnasse ? If I am scheduled to arrive at 10:30 what is the earliest train departure time from Montparnasse that I should schedule? Lastly, any info on best travel options to Montparnasse are greatly appreciated. It
Looks like the bus is the best method.

You can take le Bus Direct from CDG directly to Gare Montparnasse. Take bus line #4, 18€ per person, and disembark at the second stop which is Montparnasse. Gare de Lyon is the first stop.

Allow 4 hours between your scheduled CDG arrival and Montparnasse departure.

Since it will likely be noon by the time you get through immigration and pick up your luggage, I’d be inclined to have lunch at the airport, relax a bit and take the TGV from CDG.

Thanks so much. I have booked from CDG with a refundable fare, so if my plane is on time and I move through customs quickly I will try to get to montparnesse via the bus.
