Travel from St Maxine to Rome

Hi-I’m trying to get from St. Maxine to Rome on April 27th. It has been frustrating to find a train or flight that works. Has anyone done this route before? If so, could you let me know how you did it? Many thanks!!

I assume you mean Sainte-Maxime, on the Mediterranean about 100 km west of Nice?

If so, I think you want to fly from Nice to Rome; I love trains, but a Nice to Rome flight is about 1h15m vs. at best 8 hours and more likely closer to 10 hours on the train, so even after accounting for time at the airport for security, waiting around, and travel into Rome city, it's still faster to fly. I assume you can take care of this leg fairly easily -- Alitalia and easyJet have nonstop flights from Nice to Rome.

Then it becomes a question of getting from Ste-Maxime to Nice Airport. This part I have not done personally so I will leave to others, but there are quite a few results for searches online from getting from Ste-Maxime to Nice Airport, which should make your travel planning easier. (It looks like there are some bus options that will take you straight to the airport with a change in Fréjus, or you could take the train to Nice and then backtrack to the airport).
