We are traveling from Paris to Annecy in a rental car on March 6, 2017. We are concerned about the roads and if they are difficult to drive when you get closer to Annecy. We are from Florida and there aren't many hills, mountains, or snow so we are just wondering if this drive will be difficult/scary. I don't know the route we will driving just yet (someone else is mapping that out) so if anyone has any suggestions on a route that would be great as well. Thank you in advance.
Well, it has been a few decades since I drove in Florida, but most of the roads to Annecy aren't too bad. You're not really in the mountains there. It will be more challenging than driving through miles of low pine trees, as is common in Florida, but not extremely so.
If you want more fun, seek out some of the more interesting drives. Here's a short video of part of one that leads from Isère to Valence, south of Lyon: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BnKNO615iWM

The challenge there is going from bright sun to deep shadow over and over again, on very narrow roads with sharp curves. It's tough to see other vehicles.
