travel from Nice to Roussillon

I am flying into Nice in June & arriving early afternoon. Early plans have changed and I am meeting friends in Rousillon. What is the best way to get there? Should I change my flight & go to Marseille instead?

Marseille is a lot closer, and then you need to either rent a car to get to Rousillion or take the train from Marseille to Cavaillon and then a bus or taxi from there to Roussillon
