Travel from Nice to Eze on Bastille Day

This is a late message but I suddenly realized that the day I planned to visit Eze from Nice is Bastille Day. I've been trying to find out about buses and trains that are running but the information is spotty. I know that bus 82 is usually the best way to get to Eze from Nice. Tomorrow (Bastille Day) is my last day in Nice so I can certainly just relax and check out the activities here in Nice but I love medieval cities and I'd really like to see Eze. Is it unrealistic to try to travel there on that day?

It's a Sunday, so I assume the bus will be running on a Sunday timetable. It's probably easier (and quicker) to go to the online timetable.

Sue,

I would love to hear what you ended up doing to get to Eze. We are going in September and will be staying in Villefranche-sur-Mer and I haven't decided which day or where we will be trying to get to Eze from either!
Thanks!

If I'm reading the bus schedule right, it looks like bus 82 doesn't run tomorrow (Bastille Day). I'm still going to check on the train but I might be out of luck!

Oui.sncf is the official train website and shows good service tomorrow Nice-Eze. Enjoy the Fête du 14 juillet!

The train only runs to Eze Bord de Mer, from which you have to take a bus or taxi (or a VERY steep and long uphill climb) to get to Eze Village.

I can't find any information about whether the bus will be running from Eze to Eze Village today (Bastille Day). I'm not really up for the 2 hour walk up and down!

Thank you for the bus schedules! Update: I made it to Eze! I realized that getting to bus 82 was going to be a 35 minute walk from where I was staying so I decided to take the train (an 8 minute walk for me) to Eze and then bus 83 from Eze to Eze Village. There was some waiting involved but the whole journey took me a little over 3 1/2 hours including 1 1/2 hours in Eze Village. It's a cool place - well worth the trip. I would allow maybe 2+ hours in the Village if you want to shop and get a bite to eat. I was a bit rushed because I needed to catch the last 83 bus to get back to the train station. Like others have mentioned, the direct bus 82 is certainly more direct. Overall, it was a great 1/2 day trip and I'm glad that I went!

Yay! Happy to hear it worked out. Thanks for the update! Are you going to the fireworks this evening, to celebrate your final night on the Riviera?
