i'm trying to decide whether to take the train or plane from paris to marseille , as i have to pick up my leased auto near the marseille airport. any suggestions about travel between the marseille TGV train station and the marseille airport? tx, nick

One tactic is to detrain from the TGV at Aix en Provence TGV station. A bus shuttle runs from there to Marseille Provence airport. The ride is less than a half-hour.

Some TGV stations have car rental agencies right there; maybe your agency would be available at Avignon or Aix TGV?

There are also direct buses from the main Marseille station to the airport, if your convenient train doesn't stop at Aix. The fare is 8.20 euros and buses leave every 20 minutes. There is a special ticket window at the side of the station concourse nearest the bus stops.
