Hi there! We're trying to get from the Lyon airport to the Place des Célestins after 10 p.m. on a weekday. Our thought was Uber, but would it be safe/reliable to take public transit at that time? Thank you!

Lyon is a safe city, no worries.
Airport public transport is expensive though: €15/head for the Rhonexpress tram to Vaulx en Velin or Part Dieu - and I don't know if you need to pay extra for onward metro or tram connections.
So, 30 for 2 vs. about 60 for a taxi.

We recently used the above mentioned train between the airport and Lyon. It was extremely easy and took about 45 minutes. Lyon felt extremely safe day and night.
