what is name of train station downtown town and near car rentals also can someone tell me the stops on way to paris and duration of stops . I have not been able to determine as I looked at train sites Thanks

The station in Le Havre is Gare du Havre, on Cours de la Republique. The station in Paris is Gare St-Lazare. The direct train (meaning no changes) takes about 2 1/4 hours. I expect there are stops between, but they would be only a few minutes. One reason European trains are so fast is they don't spend much time at stations.

How to Look Up Train Schedules and Routes Online gives you the DB train schedule link and tips for using it, but it doesn't sell tickets within France. For your route, you just enter the plain city names, Le Havre and Paris, and then reconfirm them if prompted. The schedule results will tell you the station name in Paris (St. Lazare) which serves that direction of travel. (Other Paris stations serve other directions, so changing trains in Paris often includes changing stations by taxi, bus, subway, or walking.)
