My husband and I need to travel from CDG to ORY to catch a plane. Our plane arrives from the states at CDG around 8:30 AM. How much time do we need to allow to deplane, get through customs, and find the bus to take the bus from CDG to ORY? It looks like the bus ride is about 90 minutes and I know it can take "forever" (or seem like it) to deplane and get to the customs area. We won't be checking bags.
I have yet to book tickets out of ORY as I'm not sure how much time to allow.
It's not just the deplaning; your plane could also land early... or late. Even if you land you might not be able to deplane immediately. On a recent return flight to Orlando we had to sit ON the plane for an extra hour because US Customs was backed up with incoming flights so you really can't predict.
Sounds like Paris is not part of your final destination? If it were me (and because I love Paris) I'd plan on spending the day/night in Paris and then making your journey from ORY the next day.
That bus ride has taken me 2 hours in the past, not 90 minutes. Plan very large.
Thanks! We will be in Paris on the return portion of our trip. Spending the night we arrive isn't an option.
Based on the info given, I would be looking at a flight out of ORY no earlier than 2PM.
Leave some flex in your schedule for late arrival at CDG, unpredictable (long) lines at passport control, traffic and check-in security/ issues at ORY .
If all goes well, enjoy a drink at ORY or stretch your legs
