I will be staying in the Eiffel Tower area, left bank and am just wondering about how long it takes to get from CDG to the area. I arrive around 8am. I know there are a lot of factors to take in consideration like, how long it takes to clear customs, getting our bags, fighting rush hour traffic etc, but I am just trying to get a rough idea of how long a taxi travel time would be?

Morning rush hour is very unpredictable. It could be up to 2 hours. The rest of the day it could be 50 minutes to 90 depending on factors you cannot predict.

Maybe RER-B to Chatelet-Les Halles or Saint Michel, then catch a taxi from there.
