To do day trips from Cannes to Nice and Monaco is it easy to do and worth the trips? We are staying in Cannes but would like to travel the coast. Thoughts welcome. Thank you
I stayed in Nice and traveled by train to Cannes and Monaco - was very easy.
There is also bus service along most of the coast.
Yeah, I took the bus from Nice to Monaco (very scenic ride) and took the train back (quicker but not scenic).
The trains are cheap and easy to use. Do be alert for pickpockets; they like cheap tickets, too. If someone gets into your personal space unnecessarily, assume it may be for nefarious purposes.
The trains will take you many places. Antibes is closer to where you'll be than Nice and Monaco and is also nice. It depends on how you like to spend your time. There are some quite good art museums sprinkled around the Riviera, for example.
Yes--very easy. We stayed in Antibes and took the train to Nice, Monaco, and to Cannes.
Yes very easy. I would recommend that you get the SNFC app and buy your tickets before you get to the station and save to your wallet. I bought just before we left the hotel for the day. When returning if you have your info stored on the app and have enough service it’s easy to buy your return. I didn’t prebuy our return as I wasn’t sure how long we would want to stay.
I think that Reneé meant the SNCF app. Travel along that corridor is really easy.
Thanks Nigel. I guess one should not post until recovered from trip home (the nine hour time change.)
