Question about using passes to obtain train tickets (we have only ever used eurorail passes before). We will be traveling from the Berner Oberland area to Chamonix by train. We will have the Swiss Travel Pass to book tickets for train travel in Switzerland, which I expect will cover us to the French Boarder. For the France side of the trip, we were planning on using the Mont Blanc Multipass which states it covers rail travel from Vallocine to Chaminox. When reserving the tickets, will we need to reserve separate tickets for the Swiss and French sides of the travel, one ticket for the Swiss side and just show the multi-pass purchase for the French side, or just hop on the train and show the Swiss Travel Pass and the Multipass? Trying to figure out what I need to reserve vs. just hop on and show (without getting fined for having no ticket). TIA!
