In mid-May we need to travel from Avignon to MRS, with luggage. Taxi, bus, train?
I appreciate it is not a long journey
Any suggestions?

Several years ago I took the train with luggage from MRS directly to Avignon which took about an hour and a half.

From the Avignon Centre train station there is a direct train to Vitrolles Aeroport Marseille (1h): https://www.sncf-connect.com/en-en/.

At what time is your flight? Is it an expensive flight?
The train (with a shuttle from the Vitrolles Marseille Aéroport station) is the usual way to go, but reliability is not 100% on that line. If you have a morning flight overseas, I would stay close to the airport the night before.

To complete this thread, we shared a minivan taxi with another couple. The charge to MRS was 200 euros, split in two. The mistral was really blowing the cab around!

I have posted asking for recommendations on a hotel near MRS for a 6AM flight. Do you have any recommendations?
I know it is just one night ... so no big deal, right!. But this is the last night of our trip with our adult daughter and I would like for it to be pleasant. I might rent a car at the airport for a little flexibility. But I am not sure yet.
