Thank you for info train etc.
First time not renting auto, my question after purchase ticket how does one locate platform for departure?
New to train use.
Thank you.
I am assuming that you are flying into CDG and want to catch a train and not fly. The SNCF railway station is located between Terminals 2C, 2D, 2E and 2F. It is served by the free CDGVAL shuttle train (from Terminals 1 and 3), the Paris Aéroport N1 bus (which stops at terminal 2G, 2F). This link will tell how to get to the train station from your terminal. At the train station, you look for the board that lists upcoming departures and their track numbers. I think there are maybe about 8 tracks in total so it's not that hard to find the correct track and platform.
Almost all but the smallest stations will have a large schedule board that gives you the info you need. Have a look in the Tips section of this site, under transportation: https://www.ricksteves.com/travel-tips/transportation/trains/train-stations
Also, if you are new to EU trains, familiarize yourself with the extensive info on the Man in Seat 61 website.
