If you want to do it on your own, the bus (LER 23) is best. Takes approx 75 minutes each way. Several daily departures on weekdays, maybe only 2-3 on weekends but enough to organize a day trip. Bus stations in both cities are right at the edge of the city center.

I did it by bus, for the exact reasons stated above-the train requires several transfers, while the bus was direct. The bus was fine, and I'd certainly do it this way again.
