Hello,
I will be starting the Tour du Mont Blanc in Les Houches this summer. I'm planning on taking the train from Geneva to Les Houches to start. On my return, I will need to catch my flight out of Geneva airport so I was thinking of booking a private transfer company. Does anyone have recommendations for a transportation company that I could book from my lodging in Les Houches straight to airport? Thanks!
I am not familiar with Les Houches, but it appears to be near Chamonix, on the same rail line.
There is no direct route from Geneva to Chamonix by rail. It is a very long circuitous route (3 sides of a square), which according to https://www.sbb.ch/en takes 3½ to 4 hours. The quickest way from Geneva to Chamonix is by bus. Most buses stop at both Geneva city centre and at the airport, so you can use the same bus both ways.
If you are coming from somewhere else in Switzerland, a train may be better.
Hi -
On my own ill fated attempt on the TMB - I fell off it, can't recommend it! - we used a company called Mountain Drop Offs to get to Les Houches, so I'm sure they'll transport you the other way. I booked online with them I believe - an Internet search should get you in touch with them!
Hope all goes well on your TMB - I have to go back and finish the last two days at some point!
Have a great trip!

Ian, YOU FELL OFF IT? Are we talking a literal fall?? Thanks for the advice! I was looking into Alpy Bus so may book with them as their site is more user friendly!
I did fall, but to be honest it was an innocuous path were were on, could have done it falling off my back step or in the supermarket. It was unfortunate that it was between Col de Forclaz and Col de Balme.
A warning to concentrate at all times however benign the underfoot conditions seem to be, but for me a harsh lesson learnt. Still, if you are going to have your knee put back together, where better than the Chamonix valley?!!! Good surgeons - I imagine it's something of a speciality - and not bad views out of the hospital ward window!
Keep your guard up, tread carefully and have a great trip!

The Alpy bus worked just fine for me from Geneva to Chamonix in 2014 . Be sure to reserve and pay ahead as they require payment in euros and Geneva airport is in Switzerland I couldn't find an ATM that would give me euros Brad
