Transportation, Geneva-Chamonix, Chamonix-Annecy

We will be flying to Geneva in Sept, arriving late afternoon. We would like to go straight to Chamonix so that we can start fresh there in the morning. There are a lot of airport shuttle companies listed online - does anyone have a recommendation as to which one is reputable? We may also be willing to spring for a private driver since we will be jetlagged - any recommendations?

From Chamonix we want to go to Annecy. The train schedule shows it's about 2.5 hours with one change. I found a bus website called Ouibus, and it shows a trip of 1 hour, 40 minutes, but I don't know if this kind of bus is one that is conducive to bringing luggage or whether it's a little commuter bus.

Thanks in advance!

Irene,

Two years ago my daughter and I took the ChamExpress shuttle from Geneva’s airport to our hotel in Chamonix. The driver was friendly and professional.
If you decide to book your transportation with ChamExpress, here’s a photo of what to look for at the airport since it’s not an office but only a small mobile “counter”.

After visiting Chamonix for a few days, we took the train to Annecy.
We loved Annecy and its beautiful crystal clear lake.

Enjoy your trip!

We are doing the same trip in October. There are only 2 Oui Bus trips a day and one is pretty early. Does anyone know if they fill up? I'm wondering if we need to book it before our trip or if it's safe to wait and get it there?

Ouibus uses high-quality coaches with separate luggage accomodation. I would book in advance as that route will be heavily used, especially as the train link is not very convenient.

I'm the queen of last-minute decision-making, but I would definitely buy that ticket in advance.
