Transportation from Nimes to Nimes TGV station [Pont du Gard]

We will be finishing a barge trip in Aigues Mortes on a Saturday in April and plan to take the TGV from Nime to CDG that day. There is no regional train and limited bus service from Aigues Mortes on Saturdays. I could only find a very early (7:30am) or after 12 bus to Nimes Central. I can't find any other transportation options to get to the TGV station from there except a taxi- is that correct?

Many TGV stop at Nîmes Centrale, too. However, at this moment I can’t access SNCF to verify if any go to CDG or if they all end in Paris from Nîmes Centre.
Yes, you may need to take a taxi to simplify.

The title of your post suggests that you want to travel from Aigues Mortes to Nimes Centre to Nimes Pont du Gard. These two "Nimes" stations are on the same line, both served by TGV trains. You can find schedules at the SNCF site, though they may not be accurate as far out as next April. I expect it will be easier to get from Aigues Mortes to Nimes Centre, which is closer than Nimes PDG. You may also find it easier to get from Aigues Mortes to Montpellier, either the Montpellier Saint-Roch station in the city or the suburban Montpellier Sud de France station. Montpellier also has direct TGV service to Paris (via Nimes).

Rome 2 Rio is a good way to explore transportation options from Point A to Point B. It may not be precisely accurate, especially this far ahead of time, but it will show you which services to contact. It's better to buy any advance tickets (which you'll need for TGV) directly from the carrier rather than through R2R.

Dick is right. Montpellier Sud de France is your closest TGV station. It's a straight shot to get there along the coast road, 27 kilometers. Bus service is sparse. However, you are backtracking because all of the Montpellier to Gare de Lyon or CDG trains stop at one of the two Nîmes stations. It adds 30 minutes more from Montpellier to Nîmes by train even if the TGV station is 10k closer.

Thank you for your replies. It looks like I'm going to have to weigh the options a little closer to April. I didn't realize that TGV trains also went through Nimes Central and Montpelier. I have put in for alerts on the SNCF site when the schedules become available and will continue to explore.

I see on the SNCF site now that there will be a TGV from Nimes Centre to CDG, arriving around 1 pm which would give us time to explore a little of Paris before flying out in the morning. There is a bus 132 that presently leaves Aigues Mortes early in the morning on Saturdays, going to Nimes Centre at the right time. Since we are traveling in mid April, it's too early to see if there will be changes to the bus schedule but I would like to buy the TGV tickets as soon as I can. How do you buy bus tickets- will they eventually be available online or do you buy them on the bus? Any recommendations please:)

You can buy the bus tickets in the bus.
For the TGV, if you have the SNCF Connect app, you can look up tickets for your travel date. The app will say it's too soon but it could ask you if you would like notification. Say yes. In fact, say yes to all notifications. You can unsubscribe later. You'll get emails telling you the date tickets will go on sale for spring.
