Transportation from CDG to Le Mairais

Our first time in Paris (mid February) & arriving jet lagged. I am thinking to take a taxi or preschedule a ride. Has anyone experience with LeCab Airport Transfers or do you have a service to recommend?

Thank you

the fixed rate to the Marais will be 53 Euro in mid February (it is 50 now). go to the official queue and don't be re-directed by anyone who approaches you about 'need a taxi' or tells you the 'line for Paris is over there' -- these are all crooks. Give the cabbie your address printed including postal code with 53E written on the card.

We stayed in Le Marais in 2013 and went directly to the official taxi stand. It was our first time in Paris and it made us more comfortable taking a taxi. We tend to take a taxi when visiting a new city. No need to get a prescheduled ride.

Edit to add, good advice up thread.

I always stay in the Marais. For jet-lagged arrival I agree, an official taxi from the taxi stand is the best, ask about the flat rate. Some will say "on the meter" or GPS. no. get a flat rate. for your return to CDG, either go to the taxi stand at the Hotel de Ville, or other stand where the taxis are waiting, don't try to get a pick up, they are slow and unreliable. Even better, go to the metro station at Les Halles, and take the metro to CDG. For two it's half the taxi fare and you don't need to worry about heavy traffic on the way to the airport. Just buy your ticket during your travels around Paris, or even on the day of your departure.

To add to RovingCarole's advice -- if you bought a Navigo Decouverte card that is still valid on your departure date, the RER to CDG is free (no extra charge, already covered.) We usually take RER both ways -- but we have done the trip a few times already.
