Transportation from CDG into Left bank

Arriving at CGD at 8am. Trying to decide on best options for transport into the city, our hotel is on the Left Bank. After an overnight flight we don’t want to tackle the train just yet.
I know there is a fixed price for taxis and that they can travel in the bus lanes. We are 4 passengers and accompanying luggage. Can the taxis accommodate that? Should I reserve in advance through a booking.com service site or similar. I am aware I need to use an “official” taxi.

Has anyone had experience with Welcome pickups in Paris? Are they reliable. Any issues? My flight arrives at 8 am. Do they account for passing through passport control and baggage pickup in their 45 minute allotted driver wait time? I can’t find an actual customer service phone number to ask them these questions.
Same question with reserving a taxi through booking.com. It says they monitor flight arrival time. Do they account for time for luggage pickup, etc. TIA.
Anyone with experience, I’d appreciate your suggestions.

All you need to do is follow the signs to the official Paris taxi line. Don’t be distracted by anyone who tries to get your attention to give you a ride otherwise while walking there. When you get to the front (line moves quickly) they will ask how many and show them how much luggage and they will get you the appropriate size vehicle. They may have you step aside as a group for a minute to keep the line moving as they are getting you an appropriate size vehicle. That’s what happened with the family in front of us. So as we walked towards our vehicle for two, the transportation was pulling up for the larger family. It’s all well organized and there is someone working at the front of the line to get you the appropriate taxi. We were just there in April.

In my opinion trying to find some welcome person for a private prearranged ride seems chaotic because it’s where all sorts of people are standing..,the public, the people who are unofficial taxi drivers trying to lure you in…etc. The official taxi line is away from that area.

Also if you need a taxi anywhere in the city other than at the airport use the G7 Paris official taxi app.

This is one time you will really want a Taxi Parisien over a VTC (uber/Bolt/FreeNow). In abut 4 days, the morning traffic into Paris along A1 is going to become log jammed as it normally is. Official taxis have access to HOV lanes and bus lanes that VTC drivers cannot use. Even at that, do not be surprised if the drive exceeds 60 minutes from CDG to the Left Bank. Fare is fixed at 65€, give the driver your destination address written on paper, drivers are not tipped.

No need to reserve in advance. Just follow the blue dots on the floor exiting customs/baggage claim.

And the fixed-rate fare of 65€ is good for up to four people (exactly your group size!) and their luggage. So even if the traffic is stuck, you don't have to worry about the meter rolling up up up !

TY for your responses. 4 in a cab, set price of 65euros, HOV lane. It’s an easy decision!
