There is one St. Remy in the same département as Cassis (Bouches-du-Rhône): Saint-Rémy-de-Provence. According to viamichelin.com this is 120 Km from Cassis, but is that the one Costello actually wants?

They could try asking the hotel in Cassis for a recommendation. The nearest station to Saint-Rémy-de-Provence is Avignon, 20 Km away, so train + taxi is an option.
Again if this is the St. Rémy they want.

I had no idea there were so many St Remys in France. As someone figured out, we are heading to the St Remy near Avignon. It is about an hour and a half drive. Because there are 4 of us and we have some time constraints, we thought that their might be the possibility of hiring a cab.

There could be. You can look up taxis in Cassis on line and call. These are independent drivers, not a company. Being four of you changes the game a bit.

If you need to rent a car, it's very limited in Cassis. You'd need to bring a car with you to Cassis because you can't just pick one up there, especially at the last minute.

BTW the taxi driver will know which St. Remy. Just pronounce it " san ray me" and you're good to go. Sorry for not putting the accent mark.
