Transportation from Avignon to Uzès France

I will be arriving in Avignon via TGV train from Paris in the late afternoon (mid July).
How does one get from the Avignon train station to where one would be able to catch a bus to Uzès?
Is there a bus station where one can buy a bus ticket? Or, should I be trying to purchase a bus ticket on
the internet?
Or------are taxis readily available at the train station? Would that be a better choice of transportation?

Thank you (in advance) to whoever might be able to shed some light on this part of my trip!!

I don't know anything about Avignon buses, but we've been to Uzes twice and last trip (sept) we took the train to Nimes and taxi from there. There are now two stations in Nimes. There are always lots of taxis at the main train station, but we arranged a taxi ahead of time from the Nimes Pont du Gard Station. The fare with tip was $45-$50. Enjoy beautiful Uzes!

You may get to Avignon Center or Nîmes, but buses to Uzès are few a day. Check the bus availability first. I remember one bus to Nîmes TGV, others to Nîmes city

You may have to hire a driver to Uzès. When we spent five months in Uzès during the pandemic, most people had friends driving them to or picking them up from the TGV stations. You could also get a quote from a Uzès taxi company, or Uber, or another ride service called Bolt.
