What is the best way to travel from Annecy to Chamonix and then Chamonix to Geneva without a car?

Annecy to Chamonix by local trains. Two changes, 2 1/2 hours.
Chamonix to Geneva by bus.

There are also buses from Annecy to Chamonix, they are less scenic but take less
time. Flixbus and BlaBlaBus were the providers last I checked.
Those two and Swisstours provide bus service to Geneva. Direct to Geneva, stops
at the airport and downtown at the Gare Routiere.

The bus from Annecy to Chamonix takes about an hour -- much better than faffing around with two changes and more than twice as long on the train.
