Transport Paris to Disneyland

We need to get 6 adults and 1 child (plus luggage) from a hotel in central Paris to Disneyland Paris (actually Val d'Europe) at around 6:00 pm on a Tuesday:

  1. RER appears the cheapest, but suspect it is inconvenient to get 7 people with luggage onto an RER in the evening rush. Comments?
  2. Pre-arranged van services sound best, but does anyone have a company to recommend?
  3. Are there other options I'm missing?

Thank you everyone.

The fastest options will be the métro/train, specifically the RER A direction Marne la Vallée/Chessy. Be careful because there are also trains for Boissy/St Léger which depart from the same platform. Signage clearly marks the destination of each train.

Cost is 7.10€ per adult, children 4 to 9 costs less.

RER will be the cheapest at 49.40 euros total for single use tickets from central paris to disneyland station. Buy the correct tickets - fare is 7.60 for adults and 3.80 for children. It will be okay at 6pm if you are leaving from one of the RER A stations at around 6pm. Otherwise, if you have to connect from the metro, you might not find it very fun if you have large bags with that time of day and the age profile of the adults. Will you not be in Paris before that and using public transport? If you will be, look at one of the transit passes. I would take the RER but I live in Paris.

A prearranged van will run you around 90-100 euros. Inter service prestige appears to be popular. 90 euros, 7 people. You could also use G7 at around 90 euros, they have an app, you can book online too. You might have to do a custom quote since I think normally van maxes out at 6. Major taxi company but be sure to book ahead or there will be nothing available. I think uber van maxes out at 6 people and in any case there would be significant surge pricing.

Do you want to start the journey at 6pm or get to your destination by then?

to Disneyland Paris (actually Val d'Europe)

Where is the actual destination you want to get to, and how far is it from "Gare de Marne-la-Vallée–Chessy" (the station at Disneyland)?
My worry would be the distance from the station, is there a bus, or is a different station better?

Thanks everyone for the help so far. A bit more detail, for those who've asked:

a) we want to leave central Paris around 18:00.

b) our hotel is in the 9th so we'd have to Metro (bad with luggage) or taxi to Nation to catch RER.

c) our AirBnB in Val d'Europe is 1 minute walk from the RER station.

I'm thinking once you add the cost of a taxi (or two) to get us from hotel to Nation plus the RER for 7 of us, the pre-arranged van sounds like the better option. Further thoughts?

Further thoughts?

This is a vacation for you to relax and enjoy, and doesn’t have to be a suitcase lugging and sweating expedition. If you’re having any doubts about the RER, treat yourselves to a van. You can cut a corner elsewhere.

However, be aware that you don’t need to take a taxi to Nation. You can get the RER A at Auber (Opera) but it’s very deep underground and could entail a long walk underground. How you get to Auber depends on your hotel’s address in the 9th.

Since you have said you are in the 9th, I would take the RER from Auber. It's escalators all the way down.

If you don't want to bother with the luggage and not comfortable bringing luggage on public transport, use the van. If you're in Paris for a few days, though, get a transit pass that includes Zone 5 so it's not a van/rer cost comparison. That way you can take the train from the airport, metro and buses all around town, and then onto disney and back to the airport if that's where you are starting and ending the trip? If you're arriving on a Monday, the Navigo Decouverte pass would be the best value at 22.80 for all zones for 1 week plus 5 for the card.
