A fixed-price taxi for four people to the Left Bank will be 36€ door to door. You can't get four people into town on the metro that cheaply (unless you are someone like me who lives in Paris and has a monthly pass that already includes the lines to and from the airports).
The ticket from the airport is 13€ a person, so it would cost your group €52 to take the metro (and changing lines, walking the last distance to the hotel, etc).
Thank you very much for the info. We will get a taxi then!
It's not a bad idea to have 4x6 card or piece of paper with your hotel name and address to hand to the cabbie (after showing it to the dispatcher) and "€36" written on there so they know you are aware of the fixed fare !
ORY has two taxi queues. You want to queue for Paris, not for the banlieue or suburbs.
It is literally. more expensive at 13 a head to take the metro than for 4 people to take a cab.
Thank you for the info on the two Taxi queues. I wouldn't have realized that. And great idea to have hotel info written down. Thanks all.
