The bus is a great way to go; it runs every half-hour. To get to the bus station, it's a LONG walk from the center of Aix (15-20 minutes), so you'll probably want a taxi, particularly with luggage.

Thank you for your post as I'm taking the Best of Eastern France tour and was also wondering how to get from Aix to Marseilles airport. The bus looks like the "trick" as I had read that someone took a taxi and it cost them E70 - ouch! I will be booking the bus prior to leaving on the tour and get my reservation as plan to stay on in Aix for a couple of days after the tour ends in September
