I am travelling from India to US via Paris. I have two separate tickets. One from India to Paris by Air France reaching at 6 am at terminal 2E CDG.
Next by American Airlines at 13:00 hrs same day from terminal 2A of CDG.
I have a layover of 7 hrs. And I need to collect my baggage at 2E and proceed to 2A for reporting and check in because I have two separate tickets.
Do I need a trnsit visa at CDG. I am having a valid visa for USA.
Please guide me.

As these are two separate tickets you will need to go through immigration. Immigration is before you collect your bags.
So yes, if you are an Indian citizen you need a visa. You need to contact your nearest French Embassy or consulate.
After check-in you will again go through immigration to exit the Schengen Area.
