Transfer time from CDG to Gare Saint Lazare

How much time should we plan for to transfer from CDG to Gare Saint Lazare? Arriving CDG 8-9am mid-week. Also suggestion for Taxi, Bus, Metro or Uber.

I should allow at east 1 hour, but it might take less.

Your general options are taxi from the official taxi queue, 53 euros, or the RER B to Gare du Nord, connecting to the RER E to Gare St Lazare, 10.30 euros. Other options will either take longer or cost you more.

So, taking into account the time to deplane, go thru immigration, get luggage, and possible delays, I would not plan to take a train out of Saint Lazare sooner than 3.5-4 hours after you land.

I agree with the 3-1/2 to 4-hour estimate. One hour is very unrealistic unless your plane happens to land hours early. As far as getting to Gare Saint-Lazare, I almost always use the RoissyBus. It leaves from right outside of arrivals at CDG, and drops you off next to Opéra Garnier, which is a 7-minute walk to Gare Saint-Lazare. Cost is €13,70 per person and it leaves around every 12–15 minutes for the hour-long trip (on average). The only exception is if you have a group, or tons of luggage. In this case the taxi is a flat rate for up to four people I believe. Taxis and buses can take the faster lanes that the Übers of the world are not allowed to use. For me, tunneling underground to take the RER and then the Metro is the least desirable, difficult to navigate if you haven't done it before, has lots of steps, and doesn't let you actually see the city.
