Transfer information, 2G to 2E

I will be transferring from a Schengen flight (DUS -CDG). I will be connecting to an AF international flight to the US terminal 2E. Usually I like to walk to transfer, if there is time, but it looks like the only way to transfer is with an airport shuttle. Am I correct with this assumption and most importantly, that the route of the shuttle will keep me airside? Estimated time for the shuttle transfer for this route? I haven't been in CDG in a few years, and trying to anticipate what I will need to do. Thanks so much for whatever info and advice you can share.

terminal 2E.

I don’t think there is a standard approach since “terminal 2E” means 3 freestanding buildings. Once you know whether it’s K,L, or M then you can figure out if it’s walkable or requires a train or a surface bus.

Renee, thanks for the link. Tom, I won't be traveling till late August. Hard to determine this early if gate will be L, M, or another on that particular day. So I guess there could be a chance of walkability? I have a 5 hour layover. Like to keep moving since I will be sitting so long on the flight. Appreciate your answer.
