Does anyone have experience with specific taxi co, transfer co or Uber in Paris? Contacted one service who quoted 45€ for for <5 mile trip. Seemed like robbery to me! In Paris now, leaving early, too complicated to take metro at rush hour with luggage, any suggestions? Thank you.
Call the G7 English-speaking taxi line or take an Uber.

Start with the 0 if you're calling from a French line. If calling from a foreign line call the number WITHOUT the first zero (between the 33 and the 1
I would guess it would be about 15 or 20 euros, that might be overestimating it.
Actually in the 7th you can take the 63 bus direct, which is much easier from the left bank to Gare de Lyon than the metro.
You are not charged by distance but by time. I recently took a taxi in Paris across town for 20€. The taxi was called by my hotel clerk. It was late morning and about the same distance as your trip. If you can get yourself and luggage to a taxi stand it will save you 4€.
and with the bus, luggage is (relatively) easy. I often find that a bus in Paris, especially if there is a direct one like the 63, is preferable to the Métro.
I don't do taxis unless my boss is paying so can't help there.
Agree about the bus -- metro from Odeon area was going to be up and down stairs with luggage, bus was one step up and one step off. Easy!!
The 87 bus runs from Champs de Mars to Gare de Lyon, might be closer to your lodgings in the 7th.

Thanks all for helpful information
We did the bus for that transfer and it was easy. We have small suitcases so we're not really weighed down. We walked 5 min from our apartment in the 7th, caught a bus about 10 minutes later and were there in about 15 minutes.
