Train to Giverny on Easter?

I'm planning a trip to Paris in April and would like to visit Giverny by train on Easter Sunday. I went to the SNCF website to find out whether trains would be running on the holiday. The site says it doesn't know schedules that far in advance. But when I checked the schedule for earlier dates, it looked like all of the trains from Paris to Giverny depart in the evening. . . while Rick Steves Paris says to take the 8:15am train out of Gare St Lazare. He also says trains leave every hour.

My questions are:
1) Will the train run from Paris to Giverny on Easter?
2) Is there a morning departure, as Rick indicates?

Thank you!

there are no trains to Giverny. You take a train from Paris gare St Lazare to Vernon. From Vernon you can bicycle or taxi or take a coordinated bus.

Did you look for trains to Vernon?

SNCF says data not available yet, try closer to the date.

Travelling on Easter Sunday could be interesting. Between busy trains and possible rail works which could cause disruption and/or late start it would be quite interesting.

I'd keep checking.

Trains to Vernon run all day from early in the morning till evening -- this is not something to worry about.
