Seohleng,
When in June will you be traveling from Paris to Bayeux?
It's still too early to know if the strike will still be in effect in June, but you can check the oui.sncf/train/strike website to see if your travel date falls on a strike day.
When we were in France in June 2016, we experienced a train strike. We'd also booked some of our tickets in advance.
We were given the option to change our travel date, without having to pay extra charges, and so we opted to travel to our destination one day earlier (in one case), and to take an earlier train in the second case.
It all worked out in the end.
Enjoy your time in France!
my travel date is 22 june n dep is 27 june , both dates are mentioned that rail workers are meant to strike ! , does it mean it's confirmed , shaill change my trave ldates ? help !
Yes, if you know in advance and have the flexibility to do do, change your dates. Be careful though. As of this weekend, the train strike scheduled for Tuesday the 3rd, actually begins at 7 p.m. om Monday the 2nd. Instead of ending on the 4th, it will continue until 8 a.m. on the 5 th. So be careful when changing your dates to include the evening before and the early morning afterwards as potential strike hours.
Wow, Bets -- thank you for the additional information! Luckily we won't have to face this until the strike will have been going on for a few weeks and maybe things will have clarified. Or not ...

As aforementioned, it’s still too early to know if the strike will still be in effect in late June.
According to the oui.sncf/ strike website, one can exchange or obtain a refund (now) for tickets if traveling between April 2 to April 29.
I presume you will be able to exchange your tickets, or receive a refund in June, if the strike is still in effect then.
If it were me, I’d probably wait till the beginning of June, and if the strike is still in progress, then I’d exchange my train tickets, or request a refund and book bus tickets.
Does anyone know if you're traveling by train on a strike day, will there still be some trains running. We plan to take a train from Avignon to Paris on a strike day. There are many trains that are scheduled, so if one is cancelled, is it pretty much possible to catch another one later on?
I too am affected by the strike on my international TGV train to Torino from Paris on 8 May. I am going to wait it out a while before I jump to do anything...besides my train tickets are non refundable. I may also be affected by the Air France strike. But my date hasnt been mentioned yet.
With strikes, all restrictions are off, and the train company with make exchanges if the train company is at fault.
I just read in another blog that sncf will return money for train tickets only to people with bank accounts in France. They will not return money to credit cards. They can also exchange the ticket.
Has anyone heard of getting back the money into your credit card? i have a train ticket for a strike day in May. I have not cancelled it yet.
Thanks
Hello, if Arriving in Paris on a strike day, what buses are available from CDG? To go to 11th arrondiss? Will Metro be running? Does Metro go to Versaille from Paris?
Thank you
Responding to the question about train ticket refunds, I received a refund to my credit card.
Anita,
You said you got a refund from SNCF. Would you mind sharing a bit more. Did you just fill out the from this site?
https://www.sncf.com/fr/service-client/reclamations/tgv-intercites
Did you get 100% refund?
Thanks
Not sure if this has been covered, but have all the strikes started the night before the announced dates. I've seen that is is 7:00PM the night before?
