Merci JoLui.
I have changed my tickets from the 21st to the 20th. Trains are booking up fast with people avoiding the strike.
If you need to change your plans, do it now. The strike wi be largely followed.
And they have threatened to strike for more days in December, but nothing specific yet.
Bumping this back up, and getting ready to add a new thread on the now-filed strike motion for December.
Luckily, in the end, the strike won't be too bad in the Paris region, nor on TGVs. (But watch out for snow tomorrow, which may cause its own problems!)
For anyone looking to go via RER C to/from Versailles tomorrow, the RER C will be running about 2/3 of its trains.
Near normal service on the RER A.
RER B to/from Charles de Gaulle Airport/Gare du Nord: running about half the number of trains as usual.
RER B south from Chatelet: running about 3/4 of regular trains.
RER D: running about 1/3 of trains
RER E: running about 3/4 of regular trains
Long-distance trains:
Good news ! SNCF says traffic will be "almost normal" for TGV trains.
Traffic on regional lines/TERs will be more affected.
You can check this link (in French) for train service:
https://www.sncf-voyageurs.com/fr/voyagez-avec-nous/horaires-et-itineraires/informations-trafic/gl/
Then click on your kind of train ("Grandes Lignes" = TGV/fast trains; "TER" = local regional trains; "Ile-de-France" = local regional trains in the Paris area) and then the region.
